LAUAN 504 - Documentary Week 8

Production was in full swing this week, I finished animating, lining and colouring my scenes and by and large am happy with the quality of my animation. It definitely isn't perfect; I could have achieved better consistency and accuracy of shape. On the other hand, an animation highlight of the week was the psychedelic element of the Jimi Hendrix scene. I was really pleasantly surprised with this abstract animation and learned that working closely from reference can make tasks a lot more manageable.

A medium size issue we encountered this week was finding a voice over artist. Not leaving enough time for our favoured voice artist to record meant that we are now faced with options B, C &D. In hindsight we should have left a lot more time to find and record someone - lesson learned.

Also this week was the final crit which went really well. We received good feedback and the animation is really coming along. The biggest piece of feedback that Matt pointed out is that the book is off centre for the end half, which is a shame. But again, lesson learned.
